Our Equine Dentist visits twice a year to clean and maintain all our horses teeth, if you would like to bring your horse along for treatment / check up or just a general teeth clean, please contact us.

Valerie says:

A lot of people will wonder why they have to call a dentist for their horse.

It is very simple, horses chew in rotation and there is an area of their teeth that they don´t use. In that area they get enamel tips that every year grow 2mm. This is why if their teeth are not filed, this enamel gets in their mucous membrane and causes wounds.

It might have tooth decay, tartar, dominant teeth… but filing the enamel formation is very important and this why they need a yearly check up.

Also a lot of people change several times the horse bit because it pulls o it doesn´t accept it and that could also be a problem with its teeth and it usually is.

We cannot forget that a horse in its natural environment chews much more than shut in an stable, and so, the wear is much less.

Our Osteopath visits us once a year in an effort to maintain our horses health and wellbeing. If you would like to take advantage of this service then please do not hesitate to contact us.

Our Farrier visits the stable once a week and is on call permanently, if you need his assistance,
